The Family & Friends E-newsletter
Welcome to the Family and Friends e-newsletter. We hope to keep you informed of all upcoming
events sponsored by our organization on this web site. The Buddy Walk    of Buffalo Niagara 2009
was our largest turn out ever reaching nearly 300 participants. Our families, children and friends are
fully embraced by everyone's efforts and participation, thank you to everyone for joining us this year!!

The Family and Friends Down Syndrome Association of Niagara incorporated as a non profit 501c3
organization this year! We consist of a small group of individuals and self advocates who have a
shared interest to raise community wide positive awareness about people born with Down
Syndrome. The Buddy Walk      of Buffalo- Niagara is our largest activity of the year and by far the
most successful public venue to help educate our communities about Down syndrome.  The primary
mission of our group is to help foster understanding, acceptance, and advocacy to promote a life
filled with positive relationships, a sense of self fulfillment, and inclusion of individuals with Down
Syndrome in all aspects of every day life..

We have walked together for years in the Buddy Walk     . Although the day of our Buddy Walk       is a
day to join in a national message to promote the value and inclusion of our children and families in all
aspects of community living, it is a time for great family fun and friendship.
